Steve Martinez joined Sports Marketing & Entertainment, Inc. in 1994 as an administrative assistant after graduating from the University of California, San Diego. He quickly learned the idiosyncrasies of the sports and entertainment world and was promoted to a position that would enable him to become one of the top contributors in the growth of the firm. Steve served as SME's Director of Sales (1995-1997) and then as SME's Vice President (1997-2005) before taking a short hiatus from the corporate world to work at his local church. After a brief break, Steve is back with SME and looking forward to facilitating SME's next step of development.

Over the years, Steve has booked and produced shows for such artists as Jay Leno, Martina McBride, Bill Cosby, Drew Carey, Lionel Ritchie, Dana Carvey, Glenn Frey, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Doobie Brothers, Natalie Cole, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, the B-52s, and Wayne Brady just to name few. When it comes to SME speaker division, Steve has secured the top names in the industry, working with Joe Montana, former President George Bush, Henry Kissinger, Sugar Ray Leonard, Lance Armstrong, Michael Hammer, Jerry West, Larry Bird, Don Shula, Magic Johnson, John Elway, Steve Young, Phil Jackson, George Foreman and John Wooden. Steve's attention to detail, organizational skills, integrity, experience, personal service and ability to be calm under pressure have made him a favorite among SME's corporate clientele. Those character traits have also proven to be effective as he manages the expansion and development of SME as well.

Although Steve has lived his entire life in Southern California, he and his family recently moved to Dallas, Texas to open up SME's first satellite office, endeavoring to make Dallas the first among several new office locations to be established across the country. Steve lives in nearby Midlothian with his wife, Jen, and their five children, Piper (7), Elijah (6), Ryleigh (4), Micah (3) and Josiah (2), and can be found playing basketball, golfing or riding his off-road motorcycle when away from home or the office.
